The Pilgrim's house
Located within the perimeter of Moissac Abbey, the Pilgrim's House opened its doors in May 2018. The city of Moissac has taken it to heart to enhance the welcome of pilgrims who travel on the "Puy-en-Velay route" (Via Podiensis), the most frequented of the 4 main roads that cross France as far as Saint Jean-Pied-de-Port.
- receive the walkers over a drink,
- offer information about the spiritual life and the St James way,
- deliver and stamp the "creanciale",
- keep the backpacks in locked lockers while visiting the abbey site,
- provide you with toilets and a water point,
- something to warm up your meal and especially something to rest on
- and... allow you to have friendly exchanges.
Please note that this reception does not offer showers or accommodation (available only from the many accommodation providers in the city) or free WIFI points (accessible at the Tourism Office within 2 minutes by foot).
